As much as I've learned looking at the report, I've noticed it doesn't take into consideration some of the local dynamics. A given home improvement may be a wise financial investment in one neighborhood, and mostly a quality of life expense in another.
When we market homes for sale, one of the consulting services we provide is to help owners to evaluate which improvements will provide an increased return on investment.
